This event was organized for our CHEERS ambassadors, Jennifer Bearden and Mark Mauldin from UF, along with Dr. Nar Gurung from Tuskegee University. We had the participation of young farmers from North Florida and Alabama.
Over two days, we visited Baker and Chipley, Florida, where we met with row crop and cattle producers to learn about their farming practices during the winter season. Farmers highlighted the importance of winter crops and the benefits they bring to farm productivity and efficiency.
The experience emphasized the value of sharing real stories from real producers, demonstrating how each farm is unique while showcasing how winter crops can improve overall farm performance for cattle and row crop production.”
